What?
You mean some of you are still using LiveJournal?
Why?

For those of you unaware, Ayden Daniel arrived kicking and screaming into the world on Feb. 11th, weighing in at 6 lb. 5 oz. and 18 1/2 in. long.

Looking for one, maybe two interested people in playing FFL at ESPN. ESPN is free now -- none of this $25.95/team stuff, or whatever.
You can respond to this post with your email, and I can send the invite. All responses are hidden so your email address won't be public.

- Teedz can remain conscious for fifteen to twenty seconds after being decapitated!
- Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled teedz.
- The fingerprints of teedz are virtually indistinguishable from those of humans, so much so that they could be confused at a crime scene!
- Teedz has often been found swimming miles from shore in the Indian Ocean!
- Contrary to popular belief, teedz is not successful at sobering up a drunk person, and in many cases he may actually increase the adverse effects of alcohol.
- Teedz was declared extinct in 1902.
- More than one million stray dogs and half a million stray cats live in teedz.
- To check whether teedz is safe to eat, drop him in a bowl of water; rotten teedz will sink, and fresh teedz will float.
- If you drop teedz from the top of the Empire State Building, he will be falling fast enough to kill before reaching the ground.
- If the Sun were the size of a beach ball then Jupiter would be the size of a golf ball and teedz would be as small as a pea.

Update: 2/22/06
All gone!

I have a few more invites to Moola.com... let me know if you want one. Same rules apply - first few people to give me their email addresses below get one. I'd imagine that people would stand an actual chance at getting one this time ;)
I won't have constant access to the intarweb this week, but I will send invites when I get the chance.
Update: I'm cleared out again. More to come, perhaps...

I have one invitation right now that is up for grabs for the early beta of moola.com. Their schtick is a series of simple games that you play in against others (although they only have one on right now). You start off "betting" as little as one penny, initially supplied to you by the game site, in efforts to win more, and move up the brackets in an exponential fashion if you so desire. This invite will allow you to get into the game before public release.
Looks like it's been up since about November. I'm not generally a kitschy webgame sorta person -- although this is pretty fun -- and don't usually jump into these sorts of things. The person who invited me, though has already made some nice pocket change. Doesn't cost anything, either, except time spent watching ads.
In any case -- like I said, one invite currently up for grabs to the first person interested in playing who responds to this post. Drop me a message below with your email address, after the beep; I've set the comments to "screen" so you don't have to give away your email address publicly if you don't want.
BEEEEEEEEEP
Update: Invite given away. If I get more, I will let you all know.

Did this one in 2003. Can't believe it's still around. That's like, 95 in internet-years.

So let's see:
* LJ's "cleaner-upper" script for HTML used to work on my old layout (apparently I had missed a quote mark in there or something), but now no longer catches the glitch.
* I no longer have a paid account, so guess what -- I can no longer go in and access the template changes that I'd made in the past.
So, rather than pay LJ x number of bucks for a paid acct, even for a month, in order to go in and fix it, I just chose a generic LJ layout, and am done with it. Maybe now that my friends page is readable again, I can go in and actually start reading it.
Of course, there's been so much going on lately, I don't know that I'll have as much time...

So what the heck did LJ do with my layout? It's not like I've changed anything in the past, oh, year or so....

It's a chilly day in DC today, and that's strange. One would think that between Paul Bremer's "there weren't enough troops -- I mean, we had plenty of troops" and Rumsfeld's "there's no Al Qaeda-Iraq connection -- I mean, there is a definite connection" that there'd be enough hot air and spinning going on to heat us all up.
In other news, so this is what free accounts are like these days, eh. Hm.
In even other news, everyone in my office is coughing their respective lungs up, and if I end up getting sick prior to the wedding, there will be hell to pay.

I have moved from Movable Type as a weblogging software, to WordPress.
WordPress is much cooler. Unfortunately, it also broke my LJ feed. Since LJ isn't cool enough to allow anyone to change the feed information, I've just gone ahead and used up more of LJ's namespace to create yet another one.
Add this to your friends list: wp_teedz, and remove mt_teedz -- the latter will likely never be updated again.

I've got family who lives in this little tiny suburb outside of Raleigh, NC called "Fuquay", or "Fuquay-Varina" if you associated Fuquay with its equally tiny sister town.
There are 77 LJs in Fuquay. That's kinda wild.

See if you can solve this one (SWF only - larger, but slower).
I solved it... evidence below the LJ-Cut, as it may contain spoilers and/or hints. ( Ta-da! )

Sorry, it is being LJ Cut because the colours clash terribly w/ my journal colours.
( Crush Meme... )
Update: Oops. :/

As it stands now, most of my posts will now be made on my Movable Type weblog, available here. I am not deleting this journal, but I will be using the Livejournal site mainly for "friends only" sorts of entries, or community posts, most likely, though.
Why did I switch over? MT gave me more powerful options for things I was looking to do. That's mostly it.
I set up an LJ syn feed for the weblog -- mt_teedz
